Humaz Aura which is only 4 months old keeps losing tv signal with signal lost or too weak error message appearing. All tv stations are lost BBC. ITV etc. On checking signal strength in settings I'm getting a strength of 89%.

If you change input on the TV to TV so you are watching TV using the TVs tuner do you suffer from poor picture quality.
What is your typical signal strength and signal quality across all 5 multiplexes on the TV.
If the TV picture is okay then it could point to a problem with the Aura.

If the TV is affected by poor signal quality then check your aerial, its connections, any signal booster that might be connected.

Check the Auras HDMI connection to the TV, make sure it is seated correctly and that the cable is kept as far away from the aerial cables as much as is possible. Use a high quality, high speed HDMI cable with good screening.

When you set up the Aura did you set up the channels by using the Auto Search feature. In some circumstances where your area may be served by two transmitters the Aura can store channels from the first transmitter it 'sees' which may not be the optimum transmitter for your location. If the Aura has tuned to two transmitters duplicate channels are stored very high in the EPG starting at 800, if you have channels there check them to see if they offer better signal quality.

Check which transmitter (s) you are being served with here,

    https://www.freeview.co.uk/corporate/detailed-transmitter-information

Have a look at the results of the first transmitter, noted as the most likely, the multiplexes it broadcast are the numbers under the white N in a black circle, please make a note of them, especially the one under BBC B this is the HD multiplex.

If you know which transmitter you have better line of sight to you may want to tune to that one.
In my case my nearest and most likely transmitter is 20 miles away but not in the best line of sight, so I manually tune my Aura to the next transmitter which is 38 miles away but in better line of sight so provides better signal strength and 100% signal quality.

Having determined which transmitter provides the best option for you and taken a note of the multiplex (mux) numbers it broadcasts over you can then do a factory reset on the Aura to clear the channel list.

Next Manually Search for TV channels using the multiplex numbers you jotted down.

Press the Freeview button on the remote control then go to Channel & Broadcast> Manual Channel Search.
At Channel select a number from your multiplex list, lets start with the HD channel mux number select that number from the Channel list go to Transmission and make sure for this HD mux it is set to DVB-T2, now go to Search.
After a minute or two the Aura will have scanned that mux and you will now be given the opportunity to Save the results.

Next use the manual search function to scan the other muxes for SD channels.
So again select one of the mux numbers and select that from the Channel option.
Got to Transmission and select DVB-T, Search then Save.
Do this for the rest of the mux numbers.
After you have done all 5 muxes go back to Live TV, has this made an improvement.

When doing the Manual Search check on screen that the muxes you are inputting are giving good indicators for
Signal Strength and Signal Quality. Signal Strength should ideally be in the range of 80- 95%.
If Signal Strength is very high, 95 to 100% this can be detrimental and cause picture break up, adding a variable attenuator to the aerial cable to lower the signal strength may improve signal quality in this case.
Signal Quality should ideally be 100%.
If you are not getting good signal strength and signal quality indicators across the muxes you are inputting then perhaps you have selected the wrong transmitter, try another one from the Freeview transmitter coverage page.

The Aura does suffer from poorer quality tuners than previous models of Humax products.
In my situation the aerial cable goes to my Aura first, then loops out to my Humax 5000T and then onto the TV.
The 5000T and the TV report back in most muxes higher signal strength and higher signal quality than the Aura.
Even though they are second and third on the feed Signal Strength on these can be 90-95% and Signal Quality 100%
whereas the Aura is showing Signal Strength 80-90% and Signal Quality in the high 90's.

If there is more information you can give bout your situation please let us know as this may further help us in assisting you.
