Just to reiterate, I still have 2 HD PVRs (Icecrypt +TVOnics) both have slo-mo as a feature, unfortunately neither are in business anymore . My reconditioned Humax 2000T came yesterday and I've got to say that (so far) I love it! The best £89 I've spent on tech. Of course I'll have to see if I still feel the same way in a year or two. Thanks for all the great advise and knowledge on this forum.

My experience of Humax support is that they are worse than useless. They are simply putting a gloss on the reality, which is that reading between the lines I'm suggesting that the decision to remove slow-mo was not initiated by Humax, but was the simple expedient of an available chip that fitted their cost target, but did not include slow-mo.
