Apologies for the delay. Having contacted the CEO and several senior employees about the system update they stated would be released in January, unfortunately as you'd expect from Humax these were the three replies which directly and completely contradicts what they previously said about specific issues being fixed. The CEO will be recontacted about this in due course -
The release date is yet to be communicated.
Our team is actively working on the next software update, which has faced some unforeseen delays.
We do not have any specific date for the release or any details as to what the update will include at this time.

    Barry did state Q2 optimistically. So…pessimistically 2026!

As the CEO of Humax is not even based in the UK and very unlikely to bother with such matters himself I have to agree with you 100%. I also expect the several senior employees are just the usual clueless muppets we have all encountered when contacting Humax.

Barry, who we know has contacts at Humax, has said in post #28 that there is something in the works but it is still some months away. I continue to think that something will be released, I doubt that it will fix all problems but any improvements will be welcome.

    Further to the above,

    to clarify,

Having had contact for some years now, & helping in the past, I left a message on the COO's phone number asking about the update, & the following was received shortly after -

"I will personally ensure you are notified."

I had also sent a message to their colleague whom I had previously been put in touch with, who replied -

"I sincerely apologise. I will ensure our team leader contacts you as soon as possible."

It's via these senior contacts that I was made aware of the update in the first place, & in turn I shared it here via this post.

Thankfully neither of these 2 senior employees change their phone numbers or email addresses frequently, unlike lower level humax employees who frequently change their contact details, Orsel being one of the latest to do so. But one shouldn't be surprised of that given, at last count, Humax customer service itself have had 8 different emails addresses in the last 7 years alone. Yet another example of how little Humax consider their users/customers. At least their London office as they call it can not change physical location in the same way.

As said yesterday, the latest messages from 2 humax technicans & also from their customer service each contradicts their previous messages that stated the update aims to fix the faults listed above.

When I know more about the update that is permissable to share, of course I will share it here. Until then, please keep this thread to facts about the update only, not supposition or speculation. Thanks & Bye for now everyone.

As far as I can see there are no facts about the update in this thread apart from the fact that it has not happened.

Hey Mars, love the name. Wonder if you have a middle name as cool too?
The facts are that due to having contact with Humax senior employees I was told there would be an update & what they claim it aims to fix (they claimed this their 2 previous updates), a week or so later I posted this here in hopes it would help others, some people then contacted humax customer service who in turn confirmed that what I had been told was correct. Further facts are that the update hasn't happened within the timeframe they had stated & humax are now contradicting what the update may/may not do. Unfortunately all in line with how Humax have been over the years. Speculation doesn't help anyone & also clogs the thread so best stick to facts.
Hope this clarification helps. Have a fab day.

Your problem is that you do not have any credibility.

Understand your saying that Mars, & am grateful for your dilligence & not just believing what people say. Although as you can see I was the one who shared here that humax senior employees stated there would be an update, as at that time humax had not yet released that information to the public. When people here investigated, they contacted humax and discovered this information was in fact true. All I can do is share the facts as I get them from the senior employees. It's completely up to you to then fact check them.
All the best to you Mars.
