Thanks for all the information.

Presumably, whilst my program will not decrypt files on most machines, it could still be used to transfer files on any Humax that decrypts the DLNA playback.

Yes it should work fine for capturing SD programs on all of the Humax PVRs with a DLNA server (but so does the built in capability in Windows 10); my expectation is that HD Programs will only work from an HDR-1800T/2000T and an HDR-FOX T2.
