The TV guide is not showing English but instead what can only be described as gobbledygook. Have also a PVR-9150T which has the same problem. The same text is shown on the channel programme description.

Which transmitter are you receiving from?

It is an odd problem and I am not sure about the solution. I would start by putting the boxes into standby waiting until the hard drive has stopped spinning and then turn off the power at the mains for 30 seconds. See if they are any better. If not do a reset to default settings.

I'm having the exact same problem. I, too, am on the Huntshaw Cross transmitter. I have tried powering off from the wall but it was still the same. I will try resetting to default settings.

Restoring to default settings didn't work. Any more ideas? This is really annoying!

I also reset to default, tried a different language all showing no correction to the problem.

I have a feeling I saw another thread about this somewhere, perhaps on AV Forums or Digital Spy, but I cannot find it now. I think there may have been a Huntshaw Cross reference there.

The issue seems to be with Huntshaw Cross transmitter, not the Humax. My Freeview TV is doing the same.

Yes, I have just come across it again. It is in the Topfield (Toppy) forum here:

If that is not your case, JC, then there may be something there to assist.
