    What files are in the folder?

    Here is an example folder structure
    F:\Video\New videos\Gone Baby Gone\
    Then inside that folder is the video file, some are avi, some are mkv. I don't get a chance to play the file or see it.

    There are also avi files at the F:\Video\New videos\ level. Simply trying to access the "New videos" folder makes the unit reboot.

    Sorry but they could contain anything. Do you have any Mpeg-2's or 4's to put in there?

    Those file types can contain just about anything.

    Re WMP I suspect all is not setip correctly;

    For Windows 7 and WMP 12 check the following:
    1. Control Panel > Network and sharing Center > Advanced Sharing > Media Streaming Options. (Set to "Local Network")
    Set to: Media Programs on this PC and remote connections: "Allow All"

    2. WMP 12 Check the Library folders are set as you want.

    WMP sharing works perfectly and is set up correctly. The media files stream to my PS3, Xbox, other laptops etc...

    I took the box back to the shop for a refund today. I don't want to have to spend hours and hours on a forum to get a consumer electronics item functioning as advertised. Bye Humax.
