have you set the Aura remote to control your TVs Volume.

Press the Freeview button on the remote control.
Click on Settings at the top of the page.
    Go To Freeview Play Preferences.
Go to TV pairing, follow the onscreen instructions.
Next go to Volume control, follow instructions, my Aura is set to TV Volume.
Next scroll further down the list to HDMI-CEC, make sure HDMI-CEC is switched on.
Check on the TV that the HDMI-CEC is on, HiSense may call this something else
    check with their instructions.

Hi , I'm very grateful for your reply, I’ve checked everything and changed a couple of things to match your settings, now the volume don’t work at all from the humax remote but everything else does.
I have a soundbar connected to the tv via optical lead should this be connected to aura box????

Is there a reason you are using an optical cable between the TV and the Soundbar.

If the soundbar has an HDMI in port I would plug the Aura into that, and then connect the soundbar to the TV using HDMI cable to the HDMI eARC/ARC ports on both.

That's unusual for your soundbar not to have an hDMI input/ output.
    What model is it?

You could try connecting the optical cable to the Aura and the soundbar and see if that improves things
connect the cable then go to Settings> Audio & Video> Audio Output Options> Audio Outpu,
    select Optical or HDMI ARC.

Have you tried with the optical cable from the Aura to the soundbar.
And Volume Control set to TV Sound.

Which remotes are you using to adjust the volume, I would use only the Auras or the TVs
    and not the soundbar.

And if you disconnect the soundbar and only have the Aura and TV connected do you have problems
    with the sound.

This works for me - HDMI Aura to TV, optical to soundbar, Aura volume set to max finally set volume control by soundbar.
