Why does my Recording Schedule keep disappearing?

    Hi.

In recent months, perhaps three or four times now, the recording schedule on my 9300T has been deleted. It's random and I only spot it when a recording doesn't take place.

Any idea why this could be and is there a cure?

    Thanks.

Has the box been retuned (each retune will delete the schedule)? Are other settings going back to default settings at the same time the schedule is deleted?

    Thanks.

Well, a retune might explain one occasion, because I didn't realise (until now) that a retune wiped the schedule. It was when we had our aerial replaced about three weeks ago. But it happened again the other day and no retune had been done in the meantime.

This has nothing to do with reception, has it?

There have been a number of reported cases of PVR-9300T's reverting to default settings without user intervention.

    Thanks.

I realise now that I didn't answer Martins question accurately (about other settings being lost). TBH I can't remember what other settings I had in place. I'll have a look at that tomorrow and maybe make some changes and take a note of them for when the schedule gets lost again.

But isn't all of this is futile if I can't actually do anything about it?

You asked what was happening and the first step is to understand the circumstances.

The most obvious setting will be the aspect ratio, the Humax default is 4:3 so if you've got a 16:9 telly you'll notice the distorted picture.

    Fair enough.

I did some searching and found a thread suggesting that turning off auto update may be a solution. I've done that and will also do what I said in my earlier post and will monitor the situation. I'll return with an update after a fortnight, even if the schedule is retained.

    Cheers.

Sorry, biggles, forgot to reply. No I don't have a 16:9 telly but thanks for the tip.
