I am trying to map my Humax 1000s drive on my pc.
The drive is not recognised.
I can access the drive of my old foxsat Humax.
Can anyone suggest a fix?

Have you installed the optional depreciated Win10 component to enable SMB support.
> Control Panel > Programs and Features ...
Checked SMB enabled, tried changes suggested on line such as to the registry, adaptor changes and windows features.
Still not recognising.
Have ordered a WiFi dongle so will see if that works.
I missed the fact that you had a hdr-1000S and not a Foxsat with custom firmware.
The HDR-1xx0S models do not share the drive.
That's a shame
I was hoping to transfer my old foxsat videos to the 1000s.
I suppose I could take the foxsat hard drive out, out it in a disc carrier and connect it to the usb port of the 1000s?
Would this be possible with a Humax 1100. Don't they have built-in wi-fi?
There are possibilities - do you have the custom firmware installed on the Foxsat, if so with one of the components for media sharing installed you can play them on the HDR-1000S if both units connected to your network. The HDR-1000S will see shared media on the network but does not share it's media.
If you do have the custom firmware and also installed a patch (I can't say more here) by nowster you can also play normally encrytped HD files.
Without custom firmware you can transfer SD recordings via a USB stick.
The HR-1000s will store this in a separate partition from normal recordings.
do have the custom firmware installed on the foxsat.
I try that .
Thanks
The HDR-1000S will also see shared media on your PC (via Media player).
Via Home > Humax > Enter > Media Share
So you could copy your Foxsat media to your PC so you do not need to have it on.
