do have the custom firmware installed on the foxsat.
    I try that .
    Thanks

If you are attempting to stream HD files that are not encrypted. You need to convert them using convertfiles. Otherwise the g2 box will play back the audio described track.

Unless you have lots of free drive space don't bother using the back up files before conversion. Never lost a single file due to conversion.

The picture quality of HD is actually improved as it bypasses the Foxsat somewhat soft decoder.

    Thanks
I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth updating to the newer humax's?

I would not say no folders - Series are kept together somehow. Folders would be the logical way to do this. It is just you cannot see them.

Well you do get the on demand stuff working, plus a better picture.

We all regret freesat's decision not to permit sharing even on a non-routable lan.

I am trying to access my recordings from the hard drive in my foxsat which is connected to WiFi.

I have mapped the drive and I have shared it and placed it in the media player library.

Viewing on the 1000s home ,Humax, media share I can see the files but can't play them.

I also went into the custom firmware and downloaded a sample file to my pc.
I shared this and can see it on the 1000s but when I try to play I get an unsupported format error.

    Any suggestions welcome
