So it looks like we'll be getting a YouTube channel soon.

    Freesat launches YouTube Channel

I wonder if we'll get our already promised catch-up channels before then?

Admin edit: Merged with thread already open.

To Launch tomorrow. Launched 7th March

Will appear in On Demand section.

Have your tablet or phone handy to utilise the linking function - highlight the 'sign in' icon on youtube interface and follow instructions.

Search for content via tablet/phone (easier then using remote control) and then initiate playback on HDR 1000S.

I'm guessing it will be accessed via the on demand section. Is this going to be the case?

It's live now and working well with good quality pics on what I have viewed.

The search facility is a bit slow - you have to scroll and select each letter.

It's a nice addition and I will use it rather than go upstairs to my PC.

If you have a smart phone or tablet then you can pair them so you can search using that then click icon to play on your TV screen.

I must agree. I was skeptical but I quite like it especially the way it integrates with my iPhone and iPad.

Apart from buffer underrun issue when returning back to live tv I'm very much impressed with the quality of the videos that I've tried, especially film trailers.
In fact so much better quality than YouTube on my Sony Blu Ray player.
Using my iPhone for searches and playing was very good too I found.
