    Hi all

I wonder if anyone else is having my problems. I posted on this a week or so ago and after two weeks I am still without on demand etc. I have emailed freesat twice and my most recent reply gave me the routine posted above. Needless to say it didn't work and they now say the have escalated the issue!
I have tried resets , factory resets, wi fi etc etc so much so that my wife now will not talk to me as I am in such a bad mood.

    No longer happy.

And yes I get the iplayer on ch 901 and yes my broadband is up and working. It just seems to have been linked to my downloading the freesat app and the software upgrade in September, however my remote odes not allow me to access showcase etc and I continually get the banner ' these services are not available' even though on the connections menu I am congratulated on being connected.

    Exactly the same.

Evillor and Eric have either of you read my post and actually tried what I suggested ?

If you have, common courtesy suggests you should respond with some sort of answer.

If you still have issues that's fine but frankly you should both not ignore previous posts. How can anyone help if either of you ignore previous posts, and actually test the suggested solution ?

As far as I can judge the problem is resolved, if it is not for you, then please post if you have tried the suggested fix.

You might want to consider asking for a replacement now. If the problem's been resolved for most units, you might as well have a working box and leave it to Humax and Freesat to examine yours and find out why it's still not happy.

Looking at the last two pages of posts it seems that those with problems posted at peak internet activity times.

I suggest trying again at a off-peak time, if possible, (with again selecting the network to connect automatically)

I have tried reconnecting to the network and I can't get On Demand but if I turn off the power and leave for a minute, then turn back on, the box connects to the network and I can then use On Demand.

Crazy but it works for now so I am happy.

No way would I be happy with that.

Freesat have put up their hand to causing these problems. If you're still suffering, you should have no difficulty either getting it replaced, or getting the problem escalated, whichever suits you. Email Freesat to escalate, or Humax to replace. Humax have got replacement down to a fine art, they bring the new box and take away the old one. It's very efficient.

JamesB - I rather think (and hope) he will not need to do it again. It may be necessary to do one more connect automatically however.
