I think that BeBox is an abbreviation for Busybox.
According to open source list (well tucked away at the foot of the site) for the HDR-1000S it includes version 1.18.5. It is a major software component.

Bebox is what Be used to call their router - regardless of the make. I've always assumed Humax were using it in the same generic sense, perhaps intending to come back eventually and replace it with the ID of the actual router found. ICBW

I sent Freesat an email detailing the problems I was having (posted earlier in this thread). The reply is...
    "Thank you for your email.
We appreciate your feedback with regards to the recent firmware update, I will pass this over to our development team who will then take this under advisement which may result in changes to the firmware on future updates."

I have sent an email to Humax about a refund or enchange for the 1010s box that I have.

Turning off the power for a minute, then turning on and pressing exit on start up makes the box connect to the internet and On Demand. That's fine but I should not have to do this every time I want On Demand.

You have done this more than twice?

What happens if you boot the Humax (fully) before you bring up the network?

It tells me it has connected to the router and if I go to settings I can see it has connected to the router but I cannot get On Demand.

So you turn the Humax on while the router is still off, and then after the Humax is up and running (without a connection of course), you then turn the router on, and the Humax connects automatically? Any message from the Humax to tell you it is now connected?
