I an new to the forum but have a similar problem with a 1010s. The unit is 18months old but has had minimal use. I cannot record but live tv is fine and signal is v good to both tuners. The system shows an update on 26 Jun 17 and I suspect that may be linked to the problem. There is no sign of the HDD on the storage page, it merely states that a HDD/USB.
I have tried a factory reset but no joy.
Reporting to Humax through Monitoring is selected on.

This sounds like the known issue involving a faulty component on the motherboard. The June software update is not involved. The problem predates this date.

If you registered the box with Humax your box is still under warranty.

Are you saying that Humax knows about this problem but just washes its hands of any failures which is KNOWN problem. I would say a faulty motherboard has dire consequencies for the consumer.
Any other suggestions appreciated.
