I checked my Aura this morning and see that there has been an update, I am not sure if this is just to fix the ITV-SD issue that others had or if it also fixes the COM5 freeze and black screen problems. I viewed a couple of COM5 channels without issue but that can be the case during the day and further testing this evening will give a more certain conclusion. My Aura is now on 1.00_65_241003.

How do you check for your upgrade version?

Just follow these 5 steps and it should say that version number is .1.00_65_241003

Settings > Apps > See all apps > Show system apps > Freeview

Is this not an app update rather than a system update?

Or does it need to be a firmware system update to update the freeview app?

Mine is still saying I have the latest when I check, although the freeview app is still the older version.

Hopefully it won't be long before it comes through.

Are you sure you are looking at the correct app.

It is the Freeview system app with the Android symbol on a green background..

Press the Freeview button on the remote, select Settings on screen.
    Scroll down to Apps.
    Click on See All Apps.
    Click on Show System Apps.
Scroll down past all the Installed apps to System apps first system app is Activity Stub,
keep scrolling down till you get to Freeview its about 83MBs. Press OK

Top line should be Version 1.00_65_241003_3c97b102b if it is up to date.

Share a screenshot so we know you are at the correct app.
