They will need to pay me a lot more than that to buy one.

I currently have FVP-5000T. Is it worth upgrading? Is it better in every way compared to FVP-5000T?

    On paper, yes.

Any particular reason you’re so against it?

I have had a 4000t since they came out. It still has problems and Humax support for the 4000t/5000t is pretty much none existant now.
From reading this forum, it is obvious that the Aura has far, far too many niggles at present.
For the majority of people, who just want a box to record their favourite soaps etc, I am sure it is fine but as a high-end, multimedia, interconnective device it just has too many software/operating system/app issues.

Thank you for that; I have been on the edge of buying an Aura for some time and that offer has just tipped the scales and I can confirm the code works.

Ok, we’ll as an owner of one, I haven’t had any problems so far. A couple of improvements I’d like, which I e mailed them about, which they’ve said they would send to the engineers to look at so all good so far

If you are thinking about buying an Aura.

Had an email from Humax Direct this morning with code AURA50 for £50 off either a 1TB or 2TB model at checkout.
