Aura Signal Problems

    Yes I did consider buying a signal amplifier to feed the Aura ,and then a splitter and attenuator to feed my Humax Fox and TV ,but why should you .
    And yes I tried different cables and aerials to no avail.
    With the replacement box I get 100% quality across all channels regardless of signal strength. Humax have done something with these replacement boxes to correct the problem what it is we will probably never know?

    I agree that one shouldn't have to buy additional equipment in order use an Aura. I was lucky that I already had an adjustable gain distribution amp. I wonder if the reduced sensitivity is in response to complaints that previous models may have been oversensitive, causing problems due to overload of the tuners and requiring an attenuator to be required?
    It might be that Humax replacements are selected from units at the top end of the sensitivity tolerance. Who knows!
