Thanks for your replies REPASSAC, my box is only 1 month old would this make any difference to the problem....

No idea really, most users units boot once or ~~two times~~ twice a day. Paired units about 72. In a month that is 61 against 2191. In a year 730 against 26,298.

Many users think it is a freesat design error not being able to set the frequency of checking for remote records and not being able to specify periods to check.

Humax are trying to identify the cause, hopefully this will be soon.

My advice is stop using the app immediately and unpair it from the box to prevent any further repeated boot-ups. There is no doubt in my mind that the repeated boot-ups have a serious impact on the life of the box. If Humax have some evidence to the contrary I am happy to be persuaded otherwise.
