The direct 28.2E feed is into LNB 1 and the download from the diseqc switch into LNB 2. The screenshot above indicates the input from diseqc A. Nothing about the layout has changed since the previous receiver when non-freesat to freesat was smooth.

Not tried it on a 2nd generation model, but I think I recall from the Foxsat-HDR if using a single diseqc it has to be on tuner 1 in. If you have two inputs from each orbital point you can add a second to lnb 2 in.

Glad to see you on this thread Graham.
Your memory on such matters is more extensive than mine.
One more question for the OP - what is the setting in the antenna menu?

It would make sense that this is correct. If not recording the box will choose tuner 1, with the diseqc on tuner 2 in it presumably can't make the switch to the other inputs (that's my theory anyway ). Confused though that the OP says it worked on what is essentially an identical platform. If recording one of course it can't switch to another orbital point without a second switch. Not that the new boxes can record anything other than using Freesat mode.

Change the leads over and check if the problem moves with the direct connection, could be a problem with the connection from the dish...

I've swapped the leads round and and we have full strength on both lines. Of course going into non-fs mode then the receiver can't see the diseqc and only duplicates the domestic channels after a scan and strangely each channel only displayed for 4 seconds--video and sound-- and then the screen went blank and no audio. Switched back to Freesat mode and the box operated normally.

Does this prove anything about the switch?

Guessing you need to change switch type to diseqc. What do you then get when selecting next ?
