can't help you with the dongle, but I'd imagine the box thinks its network connected as it is to the homeplug. Can you get the ip address from the humax and ping it from a pc/laptop? If the humax doesn't have an ip address then the homeplugs aren't working as they should.
On top of that, this evening I've had problems with iplayer over the last 2 hours, portal starts, but iplayer wouldn't. It's fine now so you might want to check again.

    Hello,
We seem to have the same problem. We bought a HDR 2000T today and wanted to use the dongle but the wifi option was not letting us select it. Have emailed Humax, don't really want to take the box back just because of the dongle. We also tried wired connection with a homeplug box and it said network connected but then wouldnt let us access the tv portal saying the internet connection was not working (it was).
Would be grateful for any advice/assistance.

Umm no idea not very technically minded I'm afraid. It is the WNA699U8N3 version and it came in with the Humax box.

That software version is old, latest general release is 1.01.06, however you need an even newer version for the dongle to work.

Check back into tomorrow and I should have details of where you can download the version needed to support dongle.

Edit: The factory are supposed to preload the version necessary, and I have already raised this with Humax Towers.

Check your PM's (private messages top right of forum) for link to software version you need.

If possible can you let me know serial number of unit so I can pass onto Humax Towers for further investigation(s) as to why correct software was not on board.
