On limited testing since then, the new version appears to have resolved the turn-on issue at least for my TV,

Good; could you update us in a couple of weeks as to whether this has completely fixed the problem for you?

I still have the same issue after the software update with my Sony tv. Humax customer services say they are aware of the issue and are working on a software update and recommended I switched off Bravia link, which failed to resolve the problem. Are there any fixes that work and any idea when the software is likely to be available?

For me the issue seems to have been fixed by running a parallel connection using the composite output. Since doing this then re-introducing the hdmi connection the box has been OK for 2 weeks.
I think the problem was more hdmi handshaking than a pure CEC issue. My Sony does not have any CEC capabilities.

See FVP 4000 trial of new software where Humax is looking for people to test a new release of FVP software.

My 4000t will still not come on to my Samsung Freesat TV when selected while it is recording a program, a big blank black screen results. I have a CEC block connector in the HDMI cable to clear annoying uncommanded random switching. Only remedy is to unplug the unit from main power supply to reboot. I wonder what the software upgrade 1.01.34 Sept 6th actually did. The DNLA function via PC and Samsung pad still doesn’t work either, it used to previous to this upgrade. It then appeared that the switching on to the TV whilst recording had been fixed as it worked for a while, and then this last week went back to the original fault plus it now is very reluctant to select the ‘Home’ menu it just briefly flashes up then disappears, several selections are required to capture the ‘Home’ screen. I have been trawling through the various posts on different threads on this forum referring to these problems and they seem to have been going on for a very long time. All sorts of weird and wonderful remedies have been offered with varying results. When can we expect the faults be fixed? My other half says ‘That box is useless’. I have been a user of ‘Humax’ products for some years and have been pleased to recommend them to others but not this product. I am most disappointed
