Or overly optimistic promises by the Freeview marketing department.

Graham, I am wondering if you can check something please?
My LG is 5 years old and not Freeview Play certified, so no rollback in the EPG.
Is yours compatible, seeing as it's a recent model?
If it is, does it display the "on demand" icons in ITV HD or C4 HD? If it does, it would then suggest that the issue is poor implementation of FP on the 4000t/5000t (which would be of no surprise).

    Thanks.

I don't have an aerial connected to my TV only a satellite connection. I am using the Freesat tuner. My freeview signal can be a bit dodgy under high pressure conditions. . I need to move the aerial out of the loft when the weather improves. I also have a IP output Freeview twin tuner (Vbox) which the TV can use so not a high priority.

On my eighteen month old LG TV there are no programs available for ITV1 HD or C4 HD in the catchup section of the guide.

I see Amazon have ITV Hub+ "Enhance your Prime Video experience with a subscription to ITV Hub+ — Catch up on your favourite shows, ad-free, HD and on the go"
I think it's the same on Sky too.
