I don't have BBC News IN HD as the transmitter I use has no COM 7 or COM 8.

This is what you should see from the SD version on 231

    Hi Graham

I know that's what I should be seeing but I'm getting the option CLOSE instead of WATCH LIVE.

I seen this before but I decided to follow up on it today.

Here's another example of this "CLOSE" option

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Why is it so difficult to upload images to this forum?

It's not difficult to upload images simply reduce the image resolution on whatever you are using to take the pictures to a size that is more suitable for a 1920 x 1080 resolution display, rather than a resolution designed to produce a decent photographic print. Despite how good a TV picture looks, a photograph viewed from a few inches requires many more pixels,

If your camera has a resolution setting choose 72 dpi which is roughly the resolution a HD TV has when viewed from the average viewing distance.

The problem is your choice of channel. Even UK News Channels do not properly implement Series recordings because in effect they have multiple episodes (sometimes hourly).

Your choice of the news channel says everything.

Your image shows no more scheduled recordings beyond the 12th Dec at 18:30. Basically the epg contains only a series CRID and no programme CRID. Without this it's not possible to find the the next different transmission.

Basically crap data from the broadcaster (in so many ways ).

You could contact the broadcaster to properly code the content. Good with that

    Hi Graham

Thanks for your reply, however you seem to be missing my point. I am not concerned about the lack of an option to series record. What I want to know is why it says "CLOSE" instead of "WATCH". When this happens it means I can't select the channel to watch from the guide. I have to back out of the guide and then key in the channel number to watch the programme.
