Anybody having difficuly in accessing live streams using the BBC iplayer/red button service. I have noticed both with Glastonbury and Wimbledon that selecting one of the live streams (e.g. one of the live multiple tennis court streams) seems to result in the 'something has gone wrong message appearing. Only the stream covering BBC 1 or 2 appears to work.
I am using the FVP 4000T PVR.
I have had to use the BBC iplayer via Chromecast which works flawlessly and leads me to believe there is a software issue with the box.

Does the red button service use online streaming or do you have to have the additional off-air streams on the temporary COM 7&8 Muxs? Those channels are not available to all viewers.

It's the online service as far as I know but maybe the unavailable streams are just links to the temporary com 7&8 Muxs. Being in a Freeview lite area this could explain it. I will try the Freesat version and see if that makes the difference.

The additional red button channels require a retune, just done it.

    COM8 HD

I suspect that this will encourage some people, who cannot receive that multiplex, to find out how to download from iplayer.

Thanks Luke. Saves me looking for something I can't receive.

I couldn't even do it from the 5000T by going into the iPlayer app. However it did work via iPlayer on my iPhone. However, I have since done a power off/on reset (for a different reason) so I will try iPlayer on the 5000T again tomorrow. Like others here, I can't receive COM 8.

    Hmmmmm
Done the retune, now have RB1-6 (601-606).
Each can be accessed directly from the guide or by entering the channel number. But, when pressing the red button, one is taken not to a page to select these but to the iPlayer and none of the live streams will play.

I tried it again using the iPlayer app on the 5000T following my power off/on reset yesterday and it had made no difference.

At least the reset had done what I was really after which was to restore some missing icons in the recording schedule.
