Hi again,
First of all thanks for all the advice! I finally received a bigger caddy, and with some help managed to install it. It's now functioning and I'm able to record. However, I cannot record and watch another channel at the same time. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to allow me to watch another channel simultaneously?

You only have one tuner. This restricts you to viewing a 2nd channel sharing a transponder with the channel you are recording. The programme up/down keys will cycle through the available channels.
