Hi - new to the forum and thought I would add to this one as I am also having the same random rebooting problem. My machine was purchased new from Amazon in November 2013 and other than this problem I have been very pleased with it. As others have said, the involuntary reboot happens every 2 or 3 days. In my case it is usually late evening when I notice it. The last time was last evening at about 10:45pm and it occurred during the recording of a programme, but of course it could be happening at any time when I am not watching TV. I will try a factory-reset, but in the meantime, is there any news as to when the next firmware update mentioned in another post as "on the horizon" will be released?

New release of firmware took place last week. Your box may well have auto-updated by now, if not then carry out a manual update from Settings.

Aha! Many thanks for that super-quick response. My system hadn't auto-updated, so I've just done it manually without any problem. Hopefully problem solved - will have to wait and see. Thanks again.

As for the rebooting issue, there is a new software update on the horizon so hopefully all being good it will fix this issue.
strangely enough my FreeTime box was fine over Christmas but post update to UKSFAA 2.00.05 I've been having the reboot issue. At first I thought it was a forced reboot following the update but alas no!
I have hard powered off the unit (unplugged) left for a while but still have this problem.
Following some tests. I don't get a forced reboot unless I'm recording.
Anybody else noticed this?

Oh great ..I'm always nervous about irrevocably updating software and firmware on any device, so I hope my situation hasn't now become worse than it was before. So does anyone know of a forecast for when the next rumoured update, beyond 2.00.05, will be available to us?

...So does anyone know of a forecast for when the next rumoured update, beyond 2.00.05, will be available to us?The last update was 6 months in gestation, so it's anybody's guess.

So does anyone know of a forecast for when the next rumoured update, beyond 2.00.05, will be available to us?Well I'd imagine once Humax have been able to replicate issues and found a way to ressolve them, then an OTA update won't be too far behind.

After nearly 3-years, this problem has today started again! Twice this evening my HDR1000S has rebooted and gone into standby without warning. The first time was at exactly 19:00 and then again just now at 22:02. The current software version is 3.00.44 which was updated on 21/07/2016. Anyone else experiencing this?

Sometimes it boots back to the home screen (22:02), the 19:06) to sby.
