Can anyone with an 1100s check if their help videos work (under menu/help & info) please? Mine have never worked and still don't after a factory reset today. The "Internet connection" one gives a file not supported error and the "recordings" one just gives a blank screen. I don't especially need to watch them but I am trying to work out if I have a faulty box or if they are all like it. Thanks in advance.

OK, thanks for checking Graham. It doesn't inspire great confidence in Humax's firmware testing does it?

I think this is a freesat problem, rather than Humax's

Just a thought try again when the box is not recording. Not sure if the content is on the freesat home transponder. If so tuner 1 will be needed. My box is recording at the moment so can't check.

I've just tried again with nothing recording with the same result.

I don't buy into the it's Freesat's fault argument. With the app faults sure, but the box is made by Humax and is ultimately their responsibility. Even if Freesat have input into what they can and can't do, it is Humax's job to make sure it works. My TV has Freesat and has none of the bugs the Humax has.

So is it a gen 1 Freesat TV or gen 2 freetime TV ? I'm guessing the newer twin tuner freetime TV's from Samsung and Panasonic have similar/same firmware and UI as these boxes ?

freesat designed the user interface and Humax build the software to freesat's specification.
I think freesat have forgotten to place the files in the correct place on their servers.

As Repassac says, Freesat have all the kit that makes the smart features of the G2 boxes work. If a resource required (the video help files in this case) isn't available but the software required is present, then it's clearly a Freesat issue. We have seen this many times, there was nothing wrong with the box software, the problem was entirely at the Freesat end. Have a poke around the threads here you will find loads of examples. I have a vague memory of these working just after the box launch but that's a long time ago.
