Maybe Humax will time the box launch in line with the launch of Freeview Play.

Is there any news on when that might be?

Not that I'm aware of. Just have to wait and see.

Availability by the end of this Month maybe wishful thinking, but keep fingers crossed that turns out to be correct. I've not had an update lately, contact is away.

    Another little titbit I'll share...

With the 3 Tuners you can record four and watch a fifth across 3 muxes

Barry, do you know if the model with no HDD will allow recording to USB drive, like the HB1000S?

James - Sorry I have no info on that at all, in fact it has never been mentioned during conversations I have had with Humax Towers.

I have emailed another store who has it on their website and they have said they expect stock in the next 1-2 weeks.

Hope it turns out to be correct, will go well with my new TV.

The new models are certainly an improvement design wise on my Freeview HDR 2000T. That particular model looks like it was put together on the back of a fag packet on a boozy Friday afternoon.

James - Checked with my contact, and as I suspected, Humax have no plans for a model with no HDD currently.

Barry, do we know if there is likely to be any DLNA capability (client and/or server)?
