    Hi All
I note some devices are now working. My HDR200T now displays under maintenance when I hit the iplayer App, so not even getting into iplayer at all as before. Anyone in the same situation.
    Thanks

    .

My HDR2000t is still not working. I get same error message.

Graham: I have a recollection that you can only change the DNS settings on the box itself when you are connected by Ethernet, not by WiFi. That could the reason the apply button cannot be accessed.
I cannot comment on your specific router as I know nothing about it.

I am connected by ethernet. I have changed the router dns settings to openDNS and flushed the dns cache on the PC (recommended by Asus)

Might have to reboot the 5000T now.

Somebody over on hummy.tv has pointed out that on the HDR-FOX T2 there is a certificate embedded in the firmware associated with iPlayer that expired on the 28th September 2020 which might be significant. The HDR-2000T software is similar to the HDR-FOX T2 so might be suffering from the same problem.

You might want to check in the router DHCP server settings that the correct DNS is being issued; this has tripped me up before on a different router.

If that’s the case, how do we get that changed?

Yes on my router you have to explicitly save the settings or nothing happens, as you say check system info to check that the new DNS addresses are loaded. If they are and it still doesn't work then obviously that wasn't the cause of the problem.

I did save the settings and they were accepted.

I don't have the 5000T but on my Humax kit system info shows the DNS servers it is using so that should be an easy check. If it hasn't taken then turning the router on and off may force a renewal, the one from the PC suggested earlier will only flush the cache on the PC.

I am currently viewing a programme on iPlayer, on my Humax HDR-1000S, and I did not have to change anything to do so. Hurrah!

But, I now cannot view YouTube, which I could before. I have the same problem as others: "you are being directed to youtube.com" and then shows 12 grey boxes. Boo!

Humax's statement implies they have rolled back to a previous release of something somewhere: "the service has now been temporarily restored"
    https://uk.humaxdigital.com/humax-service-announcements/

The above announcement page also mentions "Notice of termination of the YouTube app" and lists boxes affected. My HDR-1000S is not among them but I have a problem nevertheless.

That Humax no longer make Freesat boxes is troubling.
