Loader error codes

    If anyone has a list of loader error codes (with explainations) this would make a good FAQ. Following the OTA I have seen reports of E-OS and E-ID with USB flashes (Currupt non matching system code I guess) .

    A lot of these you will not witness, but the list I have is as follows.

    E-HC/bC
    Definition : Incorrect Header Block (CRC-16)
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : The Software Seems Damaged. Download The Software Again From Another Link/Place & Retry.

    Definition : Incorrect Data Block (CRC-16)
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : The Software Seems Damaged. Download The Software Again From Another Link/Place & Retry.

    Definition : Invalid HDF Version
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : This Error Can Occur When You Attempt To Download Non-Superset STB Software To Superset Or Vice-Versa* Check The STB Model And The Software.

    Definition : Invalid System ID
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : This Error Can Occur When You Attempt To Download Software not meant for receiver or sysid has become corrupted. Check The STB Model And The Software.

    Definition : Incorrect Application CRC-32
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : Download Latest Version Of Application S/W.

    Definition : UART RX/TX Time Out
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : There Is A Communication Problem Between Source & Target.

    1. Check Whether The S/W Is Compressed Or Not & Check Wheter You Are Using The Proper Download Tool For The Software.

    2. Reduce The Download Speed & Try To Download Again.

    3. Turn Your STB Main Power On/Off & Try To Download Again.

    4. Reset The PC & Try To Download Again.

    Definition : Invalid Address
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : The HDF File Was Produced/Created With The Wrong Address. Notify This Error To Person Who Created/Released The File & Wait Until They Release The Proper Software.

    Definition : Invalid Offset Address For Upload (Odd Offset)
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : There Was A Mistake When The HDF File Was Made From Binary File. Notify This Error To Person Who Created/Released The File & Wait Until They Release A New Version Of The File.

    E-Ft
    Definition : Flash Program Time Out
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : The Flash Memory Of The STB Seems Damaged* Try To Download One More Time. If You Fail Again Take Your STB To A Technician Who Will Replace The Flash Memory Device.

    E-It/Et
    Definition : EEPROM Program Time Out
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : The EEPROM Of The STB Seems Damaged* Try To Download One More Time. If You Fail Again Take Your STB To A Technician Who Will Replace The EEPROM Device.

    E-FE
    Definition : Failed Compare After Flash Write
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : The Flash Memory Of The STB Is Damaged* You Need To Change The Main Board (CPU Board). Return Your STB To The Retailer To Be Replaced.

    Definition : Invalid HDF Format
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : The HDF File Was Produced/Created The With Wrong Version. Notify This Error To The Person Who Created/Released The File & Wait Until They Release The Proper Software.

    E-Fn
    Definition : Invalid Flash Devise
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : There's A Defect In The Flash Memory* You Need To Change The Main Board (CPU Board). Return Your STB To The Retailer To Be Replaced.

    E-AS
    Definition : Incorrect Application Size
    Possible Remedy To Rectify Error : Check The Software Version & The STB Hardware Specifications.

    E-OS
    Definition: Incorrect Operating Sysytem.
    Possible remedy: Factory/Default reset the receiver and try again.
