Graham, it gives the elapsed time and total time "00:01:14/00:43:43"
    then "Video: 5.11 Mbps /1080
    then "Audio: English/STEREO (PRIMARY) "

All sensible info but as to how it got there remains a mystery.

Not set up my account on the 5000T, but via 4000T just tried a couple of minutes from few episodes of Stranger Things Season 1 and 2 without issue.

I'll set up on 5000T and report back.

Just tried again still stops at 20% with constant rotating red ring.

Set up an account 5000T now, same, numerous episodes (stranger things both seasons) streamed a couple on minutes on each, no issues, no buffering.

Well, it's gone now for me!

I have no idea whether this is relevant but there has been a Netflix problem yesterday and I noticed earlier today the 5000t was being fed from NETFLIX2 rather than the normal NETFLIX1. Now the problem has cleared and I have notice that I'm back on 1 with a better connection speed.

(Barry - apologies for the number of my posts you needed to delete when trying to upload images)

By gone do you mean same symptoms as I currently get. Sticks with buffering symbol.

Current download speed test shows 60.7 Mbps and I am currently only user. 5 Mbps should be a walk in the park

    Hi Graham,

Just tried it a few times and the streaming data text has dissapeared. The Netflix app on the 5000t starts extremely slowlly, sometimes I abort and retry and buffers slowly compared with other boxes all sharing the same network. For info puroposes only as I won't be using this box for Netflix.

Hopefully our new poster will return and tell us whether his problem persists.

When you have text to work with:

    "Audio: English/STEREO (PRIMARY)"

Google is often a useful first step in forming a diagnosis:

    It's not a Humax issue.

    Marius,

I don't think anyone is suggesting that this is a Humax ONLY problem.

The same info is also provided in greater detail on some kodi boxes and streams. The issue is a Humax problem because on other boxes that I own there is an "escape" or other key that can remove the text. For example an info button often adds and removes it but is unluckily missing on the 5000t.

Of course it's a issue. We know what the information means.

Your example means the user is using the primary English audio track, the streaming data is likely to have additional audio tracks you select with user options say the Audio Description option.

It's the fact that is overlaid on the live netflix stream when it should not be is the issue. The data it shows can only be determined at the box end especially the streaming speed as this depends on your local internet performance. So it must be overlaid at the box end which is clearly a box or external server issue. Netflix like other streaming sources most likely uses ABR (Adaptive Bit Rates) based on your internet speed. This gives the best quality you can get with connection.

As this info is only available at the individual box it seems a racing certainty it is a Humax issue, it's the only location that could possibly have all the info. The 1080p resolution would be known at the source of the data, the download speed and selected audio track can only be determined locally.

Why it only happens to some users and not others is the key issue.
