    Sorry for the delayed answer as I've said not used to doing this just left the pc on this page only today did I refresh the page

    Thanks Graham yes I am able to record a channel and press recordings and chase the playback

    while you are chasing playback does the pause control work ?

    Only reason I can think of why you can't pause live TV is you are trying to pause almost immediately after changing channel. it takes a little while to establish the live buffer file for the new channel. Wait 30 seconds and try again.

    Graham it doesn't matter how long I leave the programme before trying to pause, ie 5,10,or 15 minutes I get the yellow ring with the line through it, thank you for trying to help me though

    Hi Graham as an update I have now done a factory reset and reformatted the hard drive today and doing this has now given me the ability to pause live tv many thanks to all for input given cheers Asbestos.
