Managed to start the two recordings but it then wouldn't switch to 957.

When I press i for info both signal strength bars are on full.

    System/Diagnostics is greyed out.

Faulty cable or lnb. Try swapping the two cables and repeat the test. Two recordings are from Low Band Horizontal transponders, to get 957 requires tuner 2 to switch lnb to vertical polarisation. Is the dish easily accessible ?

I swapped cables and the test result was the same. The dish is not accessible without a ladder which I don't have. However, there's a number of connections that I can reach, maybe the prob's with one of them. I have a signal meter as used for dish alignment but might have difficulty finding it. Really don't want to bring in a professional except as last resort. What would you suggest as next step?

Firstly check the LNB's are connected to LNB1 IN and LNB2 In (and NOT LMB1 OUT).

I am surprised that the results were the same as this shows both feeds are working - The implication being perhaps only one was connected at installation time (or last reset).

I would take a picture of your recording schedule and do a reset to default. Watch carefully for a message that confirms two cables and not one.

    Did the reset, "One Cable".

I guess I need to try to find the signal meter and check the intermediate connections.

If the F connectors are the screw on type check they are firmly screwed on. If the cable is WF65 the very thin centre core sometimes fails to make contact, and might need a slight kink. Look for whisper of screen touching the centre core.

Thanks for the tips, I've already physically checked some connections, others are less accessible. Might take a while, I suppose I should look at using a loop instead of the second cable meanwhile...

If you swap the cables and do another reset do you still get one cable or no signal?. Thinking perhaps One LNB port stuck on vertical.

I moved the box and managed to eliminate a pair of sat cable extensions then did another reset which found two cables. However, it still fails Graham's test and a scheduled recording failed when the box was in standby but then started when I switched on, just as before.

I'll try swapping the cables again now.

Edit: swapped and reset, back to one cable found. Does this make any sense at all?

    Graham,
    Any thoughts?
Your post with channels to check - Can you recheck Movies4Men, I see 11344H (flagged as new change) M4M +1 also flagged as changed (11344V). KingofSat flagged the changes as 27/09/2018.

RonJF - I would put some tape around one of the feeds.
Might be worth another cable swap test. Just to see if it again reports 2 feeds.

Graham, am I correct that Foxsat setup is just checking that both feeds can access the freesat transponder which is Horizonal polarised?
