Looking at the kingofsat.net web page for Astra, am I right that each transponder is represented by each block of around 10 channels. Eg. the first transponder showing is #41, which would imply that I could watch Channel 4 London, and record Film 4.

Eg. the first transponder showing is #41, which would imply that I could watch Channel 4 London, and record Film 4.You are correct, the transponder frequency is the number in the header followed by the polarisation (H - Horizontal V - Vertical) and the transponder number.
