Make of Router is Huawei and Model is HG633.Soory, the only manual I acn find on the Internet doesn't go into enough details to make a call on whether it should work.
I can connect (temp) with Ethernet cable for testing purposes tomorrow.
That sounds like a good plan to me.
Just want to know when it connects what to do from then...On PC to view video on TV thru the Humax.
Nothing on the PC; what content stored on the PC are you trying to view?

Hi Martin,
I have films that have been d/loaded and are in a separate folder. My initial question was could I stream from PC (KODI)TO Humax. I have even got a Kodi Add-On as a device on my PC..
If I open Windows Media player I can see the Humax and can play videos that are on my Humax Hard Drive. But not the other way.
I,ll get a chance tomorrow to connect the cable and see how things go from there. I did use a USB before..some files played..others needed a file conversion..I may have to revert to that plan if my network doesn,t work.
I,m a novice at this but would like to get sorted if possible with the help from you and others.
Many Thanks..| Tue 14 Mar 2017 15:10:13 #13 | -

Many Thanks..Most .mp4 files work, at a guess .flv need conversion. VLC Player will convert .flv to .mp4. 24p files can be a bit jerky due to lack of 24/48Hz support. My LG bluray player supports 24p streamed files so does a better job than the Humax.

Hi,
I have ran a temp ethernet cable between router and Humax and I.m viewing all video folders.
So.the problem must lie with a wireless setting or two.
I.ll take a note of IT Addresses within both devices.Anything else I would need to look at?Cheers

CheersYour wireless adaptor is set to a different subnet to the ethernet adaptor.
