    Hi

When watching recordings I will often stop it and return to live tv while my wife does something else for a few minutes and it would be nice to have a really quick way of returning to the recording playback instead of having to go recordings, scroll down to the choice etc etc. I'm sure you get the idea. Anyone got a nice way to quickly return back to the previous recording?

    Device is FVP5000T

    Cheers

Find the recording and press play instead of OK.

Pause the recording, pick up the TV remote and switch to the TV tuner for a few minutes. Switch back to the PVR and continue watching the recording.

The "official" way (as designed by Humax) is even more arduous than just finding the recording in the list.

    Home.
    Top picks.
    Scroll across to Recordings.
    Scroll down.
    Scroll right to Continue Watching.
    Scroll down.
    Select the recording.
    Select playback option.
    OK.

IMHO Biggles has the best answer.

Hmm... I don't have an aerial cable plugged in to my TV so
Biggles answer doesn't work for me.

So I will use the SSThing steps...

    Select Home.
    select Top picks.
    Scroll across to Recordings.
    Scroll down.
    Scroll right to Continue Watching.
    Scroll down.
    Select the recording.
    Select playback option.
    Select Resume option.

Now after watching my resumed recording to completion does anyone
know how to easily delete it?

I have a 5000T and am using the supplied remote.

BTW my old Panasonic box seemed to have the ability to always
remember the last watched recording so to interrupt viewing a
recording... hit stop (it goes to live TV) and to resume the
recording... hit play and to delete it... hit delete.
(there is no delete button on the Humax remote!)

    Thanks

Baffled - Without an aerial how can you watch any live TV or record any in the first place ????
    select Top picks.
    Scroll across to Recordings.
    Scroll down.

I've watched live TV via a freeview box since they became available.
It has been much cheaper to buy new freeview boxes, as the services
improve, than new TVs. I've used Sony, Panasonic and now Humax, to
    name a few.

i.e. my aerial is plugged into the freeview box, RF in.

Doing it this way means I have only one remote (for watching TV) on my
    coffee table.
