Have had the 1000 model for a month or so and when it works it works well.
The problem seems to be that once i have put the box into standby then the next time i come to use it it will not respond to the handset with me trying to turn it on.
So what i have to do is to turn the box off at the mains switch at the rear, wait for a short time, about 20 seconds or so and then turn the rear switch to on.
Then after several attempts to make the box come out of standby then we are away and all works very well indeed.
One other thing and this maybe normal is that the display is very dim, only just about readable.
This box was purchased direct from Humax and it being one of there factory reconditioned ones.
So i thought i would post here to see if i am doing something wrong before i contact Humax.
    Cheers all

    Welcome to our Forum

You do not appear to be doing anything wrong.

Reject the unit and get a replacement.

Hi Barry and all, i contacted support yesterday and they sent me via email instruction of the official reset instruction which duly carried out.

That all went fine and for several hours i could bring the box out of standby without any problem whatsoever.

I tried it first thing this morning and we were back to square one, stuck in standby.

Contacted support today and was advised me to email them with the details and invoice number and they would return my email with instructions of how the box will be replaced.

Will update the forum with any new info asap

    Regards

It normally takes a few days for a reply.
