Appreciate your quick responese. I'm a real novice. How do I change the auto to manual?
Vince.
I have only 'Auto' option I do not see any 'manual' option.
Could there be some other reason its locked to auto?
Looks like it is a limitation of my old monitor. Tried another monitor and four alternate resolutions now available.

That would make sense mine is connected to a 4K HDR oled via a Denon AVR. Auto always outputs 4K because the TV says it's the best resolution, whivh may not be the best option for the source you are using.
Monitors rarely synch at 50Hz which is UK broadcast standard. The box has to output 60Hz which means there is not a 1:1 pixel to screen relationship. This produces jerky pictures on panning shots. If you can connect a TV use that.
Since taking delivery of my new Aura, Apparently I have been having display compatability issues. After many hours/days, I think I may have found the cause.
The following message is displayed very briefly (not long enought
to read) when connecting 4K Humax Aura via HDMI to Dell monitor (2408 WFPB).
“The programme cannot be viewed via HDMI connection because your TV does not support digital content protection (HDCP). Disconnect the HDMI cable and connect composite video connector to watch the programme in standard resolution.”
Looks like HDPC is a form of DRM. Which appears to prevent me from viewing FTA programs with the only solution being to buy a new display screen, seems very unfair.
HDCP = High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection.
DRM = Digital Rights Management
FTA = Free to Air
With the newly released Aura, Humax have a responsibility to make their customers aware that following spending £279 on an Aura they should also budget to replace there display screen, even if it was one of the most expensive at the time!
So get a new screen or give up return Humax box and move on?
If you have anything else connected to the monitor (a pc or DVD-recorder), that may be causing the message to be displayed (because your Humax is thinking that you may be trying to reroute the signal to copy it).
Unplug the other device.
Worth a try.
