I have just joined the 21st century by buying a Humax FOXSATAT-HDR. Currently I only have 1 LNB feed, I see I can loop through from input 1 to input 2. Has anybody done this and what are the considerations? I plan to get 2 LNBs soonish.

It provides both tuners with a signal so gives you two channel recording (and 3rd channel viewing) with some restrictions over a two cable set up. It's important to fit the loop because the box assumes it's there and so will let you make impossible recording combinations if both tuners don't have a feed.

Remember when you do add the second cable the box doesn't know you have.
Easiest way to recognise the second cable is do a factory reset though there is a hidden menu that you can directly change the connection mode from.

Graham this link re loop cable single feed says it takes you to a table, link 1 year ago.
This old link does not seem to be there. As all three link fail.

Download this file and save it on your PC
http://humaxgoodies.weebly.com/freesat-channels-by-transponder.html
Open the file from the file option in whatever web browser you use.
Ignore the channel 5 version listed in the same block as the BBC ones (it's not there anymore, I need to upload a new version)

Hi there,
I've just switched back to using a single cable for my foxsat hdr. Simple question: where do I get the loop-through cable to connect lnb1 out to lnb2 in? I presume I'd find it in tesco/argos etc. Just need to know the name of what I'm looking for. Thanks.

I think nearly everone makes their own as you will not find any sufficiently short.
