My Humax HDR 1100S connects to YouTube but when I select search and move the cursor, the letters disappear. I can get YouTube through the TV but this is quite long-winded. I have tried unplugging the power lead and also retuning the Freesat channels but no effect on search

Mac or Android tablet with the You tube app installed.I also like Amazon’s Fire TV. A very snappy and responsive box and the Bluetooth remote is the best I know!
Not used the Fire stick or the Cube which replaced the box which is a shame as the box is excellent and some bad reviews on the Cube.

You Tube is there now but the search function is not working properly and when you try to leave a video it doesn't let you in the normal way and pick another video

A work around RE the stop button.
Whist a video is playing or paused, press down button until you get to search and home option at bottom of page, then you have option to get to the home screen.
Hope this helps a little.

Noticed yesterday evening that the YouTube search feature is deleting the first ABC row of letters then the rest when I try to search for a artist or topic. My box is the FVP-5000T and YouTube is working fine when I watch through my Firestick so down to Humax I guess.
