The YouTube Search facility is very unstable. Letters on the on-screen keyboard just disappear so you have no idea where the input cursor is currently positioned.
This has been the case for several weeks and renders the app almost useless for my requirements.
Any comment appreciated.
Thanks.
Has this been fixed yet?

Dear Barry,
Please also send me the software solution to sort out difficulties with Youtube. Like others, I cannot search and the videos that do appear are quite random. My Humax Freesat is a HDR1100S.
I hope you can oblige.

Good evening all.
Barry, it would be very helpful if you could clarify your relationship with Freesat, Humax, & Google. As well as the YouTube search UI issue (which is a joke IMO), the Humax page of the software contains "apps" in varying degrees of health ranging from dead to almost alive. I would describe it as obsolescent and have stopped using it.
With regards the YouTube problem, surely this is a Google issue? I expect Google to deliver a fix to Humax, and Humax to incorporate it into their build and release to their user base. I know that Humax have withdrawn from Freesat (great shame), but I've had my machine for barely 9 months so expect some degree of support. If I download and install your software, aren't I then away from the official Humax release cycle? Does the download contain more than a pacthed YouTube app? Do you offer a release note?
I have every confidence that this will be fine, but just need to understand this some more before I proceed.
Thanks & Regards
Stuart

A consumer, nothing more, I do not work for any of the companies you mention.

It is not 'my' software. The software is from Humax, and with permission, I am able to provide it to those that want YouTube search working again.
