any ideas how to get rid of this new (awful) home screen? The old one was nice and clean, I really liked it. Hate the new one though. They are really pushing these adverts aren't they, I have them on the top (which I cant hide), and at the bottom, which despite me removing them in the 'customise home screen' settings, they won't go.
assume it's an update to one of the stock system apps? Perhaps we can get the old one, modify the appmanifest to a higher version number and re-install it?

I perfer the white & red Freeview button menu Like you say, too many ads on the Home menu from Google, even if you cusomise the channel and disable Disney+ etc.

Me too the new Google based one is awful.

When I updated the Aura this morning there was a recording in progress (Ian King Live on Sky News, 10-10:30am), the Aura still thought it was recording after 2pm so I restarted the Aura and it shows a 30 minute recording that failed due to power loss.

Is there a way to force the update to download?

If you haven't already, try rebooting the Aura.

Excellent, I've uninstalled the update and turned automatic updates off. Much, MUCH better. Thanks!!

Since retuning after the update I am not seeing the usual off-air text displayed on BBC4 HD before 7pm and on GB News on channel 236. There is just the message 'The channel is not available.

Tonight post update, when I select the home page I just get a black screen with the tv pip moving to bottom right.

Took several resets to get it to come back to life
