When you think of the many Freesat/Humax customers who must be experiencing this reboot problem, especially the length of time this has been going on, it really is disgusting.

I think you will find that the number of users currently experiencing reboots is quite small. It is hard to tell from forum posts where only users with problems post, however the numbers of recent posts have reduced significantly from the time freesat were thought to have solved the problem.

It's very strange why some reboot and others don't. Mine for instance hasn't done this since the initial problem was identified and a 'fix' applied weeks ago. Could it be that not all the Humax Freesat boxes share the same components i.e. chipsets from different suppliers etc.

I haven't had any problems with my HB1000S for a few weeks now after the initial rebooting. Just a little point. I honestly wish that I could have continued with my Foxsat HD receiver because the set was ace. Picture and sound quality ace. The HB1000S seems lacking compared to it. I have kept it to one side just in case!!!

We still have the problem , just sitting here watching and waiting for a solution!

I agree about the Foxsat HD - I've kept mine too!

After my last reboot episode last night, I emailed both Humax and Freesat. I have just received this response from Freesat:
"We would recommend disconnecting the Humax box from your internet router overnight and then reconnecting the following day. This should hopefully resolve the issue."| Mon 7 Nov 2016 15:49:30 #169 | -

Why does the term clutching at straws come to mind.
