There's something wrong. When you click on OK on the ON DEmand menu you should see the full list of icons. I can't see a disk format being of any help. Try power cycling your router.

I did a power recycle to the router yesterday, but for a reason unconnected to this thread. Your further comment?

BTW those screenshots I posted for Repassac, did they give anything worthwhile?

As Graham says - I expected you would see a list of icons which can be blank initially after a reset or first install.

I would suggest a power cycle on the unit when in standby and as a last resort, another reset. If not solved return the unit for exchange.

maybe a silly question, but how long an interval between turning off then on do you recommend, other than a flick of the switch?

Leave it off for 5 minutes or so to make sure all the stored energy is dissipated.

I got on to JL just now, and adviser had me check out my Devolo dLan Hight Speed Ethernet IIs, bought 2008/9. One light appears not working on the pair, so adviser is suggesting that is problem. They were working before last week, a surprising coincidence.

What do you think? I suppose the plugs are quite old.

OT what is the best of the makes?

Plug your laptop into the homeplug and turn off the wireless. Does it work properly ? Try streaming from iplayer.

Pas de laptop chez moi! Wireless is off, and Ethernet from computer> router > HoPgs 1/s> Humax. There's no change.

Sorry I don't get, "Try streaming from iplayer".

Goto the iplayer website on your laptop. Can you stream any content via your homeplugs.

What do you mean no change ? Is your laptop connected to the internet without wireless switched on via the homeplug connection ?

As I said, "There is no laptop here" just the desktop and an IPad, that I have nothing to do with.

The desktop id connected througout, as stated above, by Ethernet and Homeplugs.

Steaming content vis Homeplugs, is that from laptop (non existamt) to TV, which is a dumb model in my case?

    My brain is like a dervish a t m

No change: on demand still not availble; no lights on HomePlugs.
