My system has hung up three times now in the last two weeks. Each time it has recovered by killing the mains power for a couple of minutes and then powering everything back up again and working ok. I've got a Logitech Harmony remote to control everything but when it hangs only power off works. Restarting without power cycling brings back the TV and the Bose solo sound box but not the Humax box. Really strange, hope Freesat are working on this.

After a rant about my box which has the latest updates, and new batteries in the remote, have finally fixed it (although it may not help others).
It just seemed a tad strange that another four people in my area had exactly the same problem at roughly the same time.
We all reset our boxes back to the factory settings, and after a couple of days, all is now ok.

    Hi guys,

Can you tell me, if you do a factory reset, does that also delete all recordings or just the future programme timings? I really don't want to delete my recordings, I have a lots of shows to watch

I also had a few problems with my Humax but they seem to be fixed, for now.

I just wanted to know about the factory reset for any future problems.

Factory reset does not delete recordings.

It does delete future timers and any other user settings you may have adjusted.

    Hola.

How can Humax keep selling this box knowing about this problem. I have just bought one in England and brought it over to Spain. It worked for about 2 hours. Then the Mobile would not change channels. It seems to do this if you stay on a channel to long. Am I going to have to unplug it, every time this happens? For as long as I continue to use it. Or is there some way of overcoming this problem. I to use a Sat Dish.

Mine too, locked up at about 19:30 GMT. Got working again by switching off and on exactly as before. Hope it's a one-off but not confident!

Mine has started again as of today.

It fixed itself the last time, It still hasn't been connected to the Internet.

It's really annoying and needs sorted once and for all.

Me Too, My box started locking up again 2 days ago.Once again the only remedy seems to be to pull the power and switch on again 20 secs later. We never received a definitive answer to why this was happening before. Can anyone give Humax Towers a nudge and push for an answer and a remedy.Last time they appeared to be saying that it was a Freesat problem but I don't think so as I also run another freesat box which has never been affected
