Do all of us with this issue not have our boxes connected to the internet?

I spoke to Currys today, and they are happy to change mine as it is only 8 months old, so Humax can have it back and I will try with a new one. Anyone else still under 2 year warranty can presumably do the same.

I would have done a fix if there was one, but from this forum it appears not.

mine is not connected to the internet.

Just picked up on this being reported a few times so have disconnected one of my 1000S to see if I can replicate.

I will be highlighting these reports to Humax Towers first thing tomorrow.

Edit: I have added a poll option to thread.

    Thanks Barry,
Not sure what it is but it doesn't seem to do it in the evenings for me. Maybe it's because the remote control usage is manic later on but will keep monitoring it tonight and report back tomorrow

Scrap what I said about the evenings. It's just locked up and I can confirm that plugging in the lan cable after locking up doesn't help. I will leave it connected for until tomorrow night and see how it goes.

    Thanks for the add.
I have this self same problem for the last 2 days, needing to switch off and on again every time I want to change a channel.
The box is 1year and 4 days old.
I have checked the box for new soft wear, re-set to factory default but still the same.

hello all I have just joined the forum and am also experiencing the same faults as all of the previous members. It does not seem to matter if connected to the internet or not and the only way to un freeze box and remote is to disconnect from the mains. Incidentally my box is hdr-1000s/500 and is just over 12 months old by a few days. Help PLEASE not going back to rip off sky

    Hi,

I'm new here too. My HDR1000S started to do the same things about 3 days ago. After random period the only things I can from the RC are to turn the unit off and on. I have to press EXIT to get back to previous channel. Problem clears when the unit is powered down.
