I used to love the BBC but they are getting increasingly exasperating. It’s impossible to report this issue so they will have no idea of how many people are affected. As far as I can tell we are at the mercy of some *expletive deleted* at the BBC who has *expletive deleted* this up and will get promoted for his/her "outstanding" upgrade which has caused this problem. They will say that no-one has logged the issue because they have made it impossible to do so.

If, as you allege, it is impossible to report this issue to the BBC, how on earth do you imagine that this BBC page came to exist?

Whether, or not, the BBC is at fault is far from clear, it may be something that Humax have done that has caused this, or equally it may be something to lay at the door of the BBC.

Let us just hope that somebody will find a solution soon.

If you really want to rant direct to the BBC, you could try starting here:

As of 30th September 2020 there is an issue affecting Humax freeview streaming iplayer programs.it does not work an errors out.
The BBC have acknowledged the issue as per this url. At time of writing this its still not working. I have two Humax boxes and both don't work so it's a big issue for BBC.

Clearly something has changed at the BBC service end that impacts Humax boxes.
No updates done to Humax firmware, iplayer just suddenly stopped working.
Sounds like bbx are on it. Hope a solution comes soon. In meantime other devices are un affected.

Dillon, there have been no changes to the firmware since mid June, but the iPlayer app was updated on 29th September, and that's when the trouble started! Also, a BBC Sounds app was added, and that doesn't work either. It fails in the same way as the iPlayer does, with the same error code of 02001.

Good news and bad news. A new version of iPlayer, 3.18.5, built yesterday, Thursday 01 October, at 16:57 GMT has appeared this morning on my FVP 5000T. That was the good news.

The bad news is that I still get "Something went wrong loading this programme" and the error code 02001.

There's also a newer version of BBC Sounds, also built yesterday at around 10:53 GMT. That still doesn't work either, with the same error message and code.

OK, that shows what you are seeing now, but how do you get to that, so that the rest of us can do the same?
