I wondered if the problem was between the Aura and my LG HD TV so I tried the Aura with and older SD TV and also a PC Monitor with an HDMI input. Same unsatisfactory results on all!

Sounds as if you have similar set up to me. Mine's an LG OLED - which, indidentally, gives a noticeably better picture than the Aura.

    Morning all,

Anyone got any updates on this at all?

I tried retuning ITV manually this morning to the Crystal Palace transmitter but the signal isn't strong enough so it didn't work alas.

Really getting frustrated with it now - you don't realise how much you watch ITV1 until you don't have it. Yes, we have the HD, but the signal is not reliable and if there's 3mm of cloud coverage picture and sound breakup happens so you can't rely on it.

Have to use the normal Aerial feed into the TV - it works but is annoying as can't record or delay on it.

Perhaps someone living in range of Sandy Heath should offer B&B so an engineer can bring along a box to see the problem for themselves! I'm not convinced that they believe that there is a problem.

GREAT action! Channel is now lost Humax Aura Sandy Heath as well as a broken up signal despite 100% quality 100% strength however everything works fine when the Humax Aura box is bypassed. We all should get a full refund for goods not fit for purpose under the trade descriptions act 1968

If you are getting 100% signal strength that can lead to picture break up and pixellation.
Buy a variable signal attenuator to lower the signal strength to about 90%
100% signal quality is the important one.

It does seem to be trait of the Aura and the Great channels that they will initially show but then go blank.

I've had an aerial fitter out he's replaced the aerial and cable and supplied a booster, we've never had an issue until freeview box died in May we purchased the Humax Aura and mid August there was an update and it's caused the issues. We also brought the mother in law one to replace her old box at beginning of August and she has same faults. Took a look at her old box it works fine and has no issue or loss of channels hers is a BT Youview box

    So here's an interesting one.

Thought I would have a play with the Humax Android App over the weekend.

One of the features is you can watch any channel through the Aura that is currently broadcasting streamed to your phone.

And I got perfect picture and sound through ITV1 and ITV3. But on the box itself directly, still just a black screen.

So the system is receiving the signal fine, just can't broadcast it, but it can stream it.

    I am now more confused...
