Extreme long shot, but running out of options. Can you try the box at a friends who has a dish and a network connection you can borrow for a short period ?

    Yes. Still not working.

Was able to try out another HB1000S at my location and worked perfectly.

I'll patiently wait for a possible future OTA update and hope that fixes it.

As you have the latest firmware, it seems likely you have a hardware issue. If so a software update is unlikely to help. If possible best to get it replaced under the warranty.

I think I would try the following for a last time.
    Stop if anything starts working.

    0. Tune to BBC2-HD. Place unit in standby. Remove network cable. Wait 5 mins.
    1. Start unit. Leave 5 mins.
    2. Reconnect the network cable. Note if any message is displayed.
    3. Enter network settings - reselect connect automatically even if it is the displayed option.
    4. Wait 15 mins.
    5. Recheck On-demand, showcase, backward epg.

If there was a reset file available I would suggest that in place of this as it is apparent that a factory reset does not reset everything.

    Thank you, but didn't work.
