I am finding the new update generally better than previous software. Amazing to still be getting an update of this scope! Has anyone found that the file sharing and samba options are now stable? I used to find that with these options on, even over ethernet, the 4000T frequently crashed. I will try them again.

Mine updated yesterday but now will not connect to the internet via its LAN connection (the link status light on the router does not even light up now). This means I have no On Demand features.
Is there any way I can go back to the old software to check if it is the update that has caused this?Same here, will FR after the programs tonight. Weird thing is the network layer is working because I can access with my pc, and see the files I placed on it previously.
Every linux system I have ever used will reconnect correctly after a warm restart, no need to power down or do a FR.
Why this should have occurred during a trivial update is beyond me, more sloppy programming.| Sun 4 Mar 2018 14:26:12 #82 | -

As to your other point I've not tried samba but photos from my Nas via Twonky are rendering properly via the 4000 now.

Has anyone else noticed the volume since the update. I'm having to increase the volume quite substantially when watching recordings, and therefore having to quickly reduce the volume when the recording finishes. I did not have to do this before.
My audio setup
Humax 4000T Volume at 20 (100%) to Samsung TV via HDMI
Samsung TV speaker settings set to Audio Out to Pioneer VSX-S300 via Optical cable.
Pioneer VSX-S300 set to Ext. Stereo TV (Optical)
Volume is controlled solely by the Pioneer VSX-S300This is how it's always been and the only thing that has changed is the Humax software update.

Hi, I’ve had the update last week had had no trouble. All the On demand channels were intact and working. However, after a few days away whereby I switched off the WiFi, the box has had faulty recordings and the Netflix, YouTube apps have disappeared with no way to get them back. It also takes an age for the page photographed to appear too. Any help would be appreciated.

Photograph the recording schedule and do a reset to factory defaults - do not select the disk format option.

I really like the update, however had the same problem where players were not available and continually saying connection lost. So a factory reset done and eventually players reappeared however seems sluggish now, will monitor over next few days but anyone else noticed this?

Thank you, it’s now working. But as feedback for the update, it’s now making my humax box respond extremely slowly. I didn’t have any problems before.

'All channels and schedules will be deleted'
The alternative, as above + format hdd.Is there a means to save the schedules set up?

FWIW,
I now have two FVP-4000Ts, both refurbished from HumaxDirect. The first had 5000 software on, now overwritten by 1.03.39. The second also now has 1.03.39 having updated from 1.01.57.
I've not had any of the problems being reported on either box.
The only way I can get my boxes to revert to "list" for recordings is to do a power cycle. Are the users with this problem putting the box into standby or removing the power?David
